Every April the family gets together at Louie's ranch in Raymond CA. We usually camp there for the weekend and though Joel has gone several times without me, this time I was able to go. Camping with a 5 week old was not too bad.....but I definitely see the advantages of a trailor. I have already put the request in for one. The girls had a blast as usual and got filthy dirty ( and loved it). Activities: catching and terrorizing bullfrogs, 4 wheeling, fishing, shooting off rockets, chasing cows and bunnies, campfire, eating constantly foods not allowed at home, etc.
This poor frog hanging by its rear-end. Hannah is not as gung-ho as Elena is about touching wild things but since her sister did it she had to do it too.
Elena is really into putting rabbit ears behind people in pictures. Apparently she thought the frog was worthy of them too.
Hannah is our climber. She found this big rock and then got a kick out of sliding down it on her butt.
Taking a break on the porch swing after running around in 90 degree weather.
Elena's bass. She's a great fisher-woman like her mommy. :-)
This is how Joel caught the frog. It chased the bobber right out of the water, put the bobber in its mouth, then spit it out. What it didn't know was there was a hook on it so Joel was able to nab it.
Another catch of the day.

What a fun time! Those are huge bullfrogs. I don't know that I would have been so brave? Did you hold them, Shan? Thanks for the pics.
